The NFC East is setting up to have some incredible battles between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders for many years to come.
Jalen Hurts and the Eagles are coming off of a tremendous season that included a Super Bowl championship, while Jayden Daniels helped guide the Commanders to their first NFC Championship Game in three decades.
Unfortunately for Daniels though, his team suffered a humiliating loss to the Birds back in January, and the young quarterback admits that it still haunts him months later.
Jayden Daniels on how long the feeling of losing in the NFC Championship game lasted:
“Every day, probably until like March/April … I still think about it”

Daniels was certainly one of the best rookies in 2024, and quite honestly, one of the most impressive debut quarterbacks in recent NFL history, but it’s clear that the Eagles have a huge psychological advantage over their division rival heading into this season.
For the Commanders, they can’t feel too awful about Philly’s 55-23 victory at Lincoln Financial Field though because Jalen Hurts and the Eagles simply ran through most teams they faced in the playoffs last season.
That included another brutal takedown of the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl, which didn’t see Patrick Mahomes and Co. put up a single point on Vic Fangio’s defense until the third quarter.
