NFL prime-time schedule 2024: Full list of Sunday, Monday, Thursday night football games and matchups

The wait for the next NFL season continues, but fans at least have an idea of how they can start planning for nights during the 2024 campaign.

Matchups have been assigned for the prime-time windows in the season, and for the second straight year, not every team is going to have an opportunity to play in front of a national audience.

The league made the change ahead of 2023 that teams no longer have to appear on “Thursday Night Football” at least once each, which for NFL fans hopefully means more compelling action even if it means not everyone will get to see their teams play under the lights of prime time.

There can still be changes made to the schedule. Last year the Texans and Colts had no prime-time matchups. They ended the year playing each other on the last Saturday night of the season. Additionally, some games will have the option to be flexed out of prime time if any determinations are made a game no longer is as enticing a matchup as earlier.

Looking to start planning out your prime-time plans? Here’s what you need to know.

NFL teams with most prime-time games in 2024

There are three teams who are going to be on prime time six times — the 49ers, the Cowboys and the Jets.

San Francisco has the first “Monday Night Football” matchup and the last one scheduled so far in Week 17. It also has two “Thursday Night Football” games and a pair of “Sunday Night Football” matchups.

Dallas is set to appear three times on “Sunday Night Football”, twice in a span of four weeks on “Monday Night Football”, a “Thursday Night Football” game and, of course, its contest on Thanksgiving.

New York is going against San Francisco in the first edition of “Monday Night Football”, and has a later date on the Monday of Week 6. It has two “Thursday Night Football” appearances and two “Sunday Night Football” showings on deck.

NFL teams with no prime-time games in 2024

The Panthers are the lone team in 2024 without a prime-time game on the schedule. While Carolina does have a featured game over in London, it’s not on national television, nor is it at a prime viewing hour.

Last year, the Colts and Texans were not scheduled for any games coming into the season. They wound up playing in a flexed prime-time window in the final week of the season in a battle for the AFC West. The Falcons and Cardinals were also left without prime-time games.
