NBA Western Conference standings, explained: Updated scenarios for Lakers, Warriors and more in logjam

The final day of the NBA regular season won’t be short on suspense, at least in the West.

While the East standings are set, plenty is still up for grabs out west, with seeds No.’s 4-10 still unsettled. The Kings and Mavericks are locked into the play-in tournament, but which team will have home-court advantage in the No. 9 vs. No. 10 game is still up in the air. Meanwhile, four teams are still at risk of landing in one of the remaining play-in spots and securing a matchup with the Grizzlies.

The Nuggets, Clippers, Warriors and Timberwolves will all be trying to avoid the play-in on Sunday, and all control their own fate.

The chaos means no playoff matchups are set in the West, but two series will be locked in by the time the action ends on Sunday.
