The Milwaukee Bucks are at a crossroads. They are still trying to compete for championships while star Giannis Antetokounmpo is in his prime, but they continue to fall short. The Bucks won the 2021 NBA championship, but have failed to even reach the Conference Finals since. This is why Giannis’ trade rumors are picking up. The Greek superstar might be interested in finding a new team this offseason in pursuit of a better championship situation.
Shams Charania, who originally reported that Giannis was open to the idea of playing in a different uniform next season, has had the inside scoop on Giannis’ potential departure.
Charania went on Pat McAfee’s show Tuesday morning to reveal an update on the Giannis trade rumors.
“Giannis Antetokounmpo is in the process of figuring things out..
I’m told that process is ongoing and he hasn’t had that meeting with the Bucks yet” @ShamsCharania #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/7QjaAYmYG8

“Giannis Antetokounmpo is in the process of figuring things out…he hasn’t had that meeting with the Bucks yet,” said Charania.
The fact that Giannis still hasn’t decided on his future in Milwaukee could mean a few different things. The offseason just started, and he could still be figuring out where his head is at.

On the other hand, the fact that he hasn’t told the Bucks one way or another whether he is planning to ask out this offseason could mean he is just delaying a difficult conversation.
If Giannis does plan to leave, it is in both his and the Bucks’ best interest to get that information ASAP. That way, both sides can work together to find a Giannis trade destination that satisfies Giannis’ need to contend and also the Bucks’ need to recoup all they can in trade value for their franchise superstar.
