Miami Heat fans probably aren’t the most thrilled to be involved in star player trade talks once again, given their history of not landing coveted players. However, here they are again, being involved in talks for Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The former MVP winner and NBA Finals MVP has seen trade rumors regarding himself ramp up in recent days in light of the Bucks’ rough start to the season. Antetokounmpo was already in trade talks before the season started, and now it appears he is halfway out the door.
NBA insider Jake Fischer believes that Antetokounmpo landing in Miami makes the most sense for all parties involved, citing the assets that Miami has to trade that could entice the Bucks.
“Hometown kid in Herro, Ware, Jaime, draft picks. The Heat have been withholding their full offer they could’ve used for Dame, KD, knowing someone such as Giannis could reach the market. That to me is a super interesting outcome that could happen,” Fischer said.
The Heat will continue to monitor the situation with Antetokounmpo as they look to continue their hot start to the season, and get back to the NBA Finals in 2025-26.
