NBA Free Agency Tracker: Day 1 of Warriors free agency is complete failure

The Golden State Warriors need to make some moves. As the clock is already ticking on the 2025 NBA free agency, the Warriors have seen multiple solid players leave for other teams. On top of that, they lost beloved fan-favorite Kevon Looney to the New Orleans Pelicans. Now it seems like a Warriors-Al Horford signing is the team’s top priority. After Day 1 of NBA free agency, the Warriors have completely failed.

The top Warriors’ free agency priorities are securing a center and determining the best course of action for Jonathan Kuminga.

After all the signings on Monday, here are the center names that most NBA free agency trackers are showing as the top players still available:

DeAndre Ayton

Bismack Biyombo

Al Horford

Jaxson Hayes

DeAndre Jordan

This is not an inspiring list. Especially since Ayton is being heavily linked to a Los Angeles Lakers free agent target, the Warriors are not left with much.

There are three washed-up veterans remaining and one unproven young guy.

On top of that, multiple solid rotation players were signed to cheap contracts on Monday. None of them wanted to be a Warrior.

It is now looking like a potential Jonathan Kuminga sign-and-trade could be the only way for the Warriors to pick up significant help this offseason. However, reports are saying that even that may not happen.

If a Warriors-Al Horford signing is the best thing to come out of their offseason, Golden State is in a lot of trouble. If they can’t get some value for a Kuminga sign-and-trade, things are even worse.
