There have been plenty of NBA Finals Game 7 thrillers over the years.
Today, let’s take a look at some of the best individual stat performances/leaders from these games.

Points – Jerry West
West is the all-time leader for points in an NBA Finals Game 7 with 42.
Interestingly enough, West and the Lakers lost this game to the Celtics, 108-106.
With some of the playoff performances we’ve seen by players competing in this series, it wouldn’t be a shocker if Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Pascal Siakam or Jalen Williams broke this record on Sunday.
Rebounds – Bill Russell
This might be the most unbeatable record.
Seeing a player grab more than 30 rebounds in today’s NBA is probably rarer than finding a four-leaf clover, making Russell’s mark of 40 a far reach away for bigs in today’s NBA.
Assists – Walt Frazier
Frazier once had a 19-assist game in the 1970 NBA Finals.
What’s even more impressive about the feat is that it was paired with a 36-point performance in the same game.
We’ve seen Haliburton have some high assist totals in games, but I’m not sure a Game 7 is a stage where Haliburton will be able to pass the 19-assist mark.
Steals – Ron Artest
5 steals is an impressive total for one game, but with what we’ve seen out of players on both teams in the 2025 NBA Finals, this can easily be matched.
T.J. McConnell already has a four and five-steal game in the NBA Finals this year.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Alex Caruso, Cason Wallace and Lu Dort, have had at least a four-steal game this series for OKC.
Blocks – Kevin Garnett and Marvin Webster
These two players hold the record, with five blocks in a Game 7.
It’s another attainable feat that we could see out of either Myles Turner or Chet Holmgren.
The records aren’t the focus of the game, but it would be cool to see some history made along the way.
