NBA Draft lottery odds 2025: Every team’s updated chances to get Cooper Flagg with No. 1 pick

The race to capture the (Cooper) Flagg is on.

The projected No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft is preparing for the NCAA Tournament, but several hopeful teams have already seen enough. Flagg has been all that he was hyped to be, averaging 18.9 points on 48.8% shooting from the field and 36.8% from 3 while snagging 7.5 rebounds and dishing 4.1 assists. He is also a dogged defender, averaging 1.5 steals and 1.3 blocks per game. He led Duke to a 31-3 regular season record and has the Blue Devils as the No. 2 overall team in the NCAA Tournament.

For a few teams, like the Jazz and Wizards, landing the top pick to draft Flagg has always been the goal of the 2024-2025 season. Others, though, such as the Pelicans and 76ers, had expectations that were derailed by injuries. Regardless, all 14 teams that will be in the 2025 NBA Draft Lottery will cross their fingers and hope their ping pong ball is the final one called.

With only a few weeks left in the regular season, the teams at the top of the draft order will work harder and harder to tank games and position themselves the best they can for Flagg. Who has the best odds to land Flagg? Who else could go No. 1 if Flagg’s ankle injury worsens? Here is what to know.

2025 NBA Draft Lottery betting odds: Which team will win the No. 1 pick?

The betting odds basically mirror each team’s current statistical chance to land the number one pick with a few notable differences. The odds, all courtesy of BetMGM, suggest the Heat will make a run to end the year and could potentially make the playoffs via the Play-In tournament. Currently, the Bulls hold the tiebreaker over Miami, giving the Heat a 0.1% better chance to land the No. 1 pick.

The Rockets are in a tight battle for the second seed in the West but will get the Suns’ unprotected first-round pick, meaning they have a small chance of adding Flagg to their already talented young core.

2025 NBA Draft odds: Who will go No. 1 overall?

Flagg is the clear favorite to go first overall, but there is always a chance he could slip, whether it’s due to injury or pre-draft interviews. While it is unlikely, Dylan Harper and Ace Bailey, who both played at Rutgers together, are two of the other candidates for the top pick. Rutgers did not make the NCAA Tournament this year, so they have limited chances to improve their draft stocks before the June 25th draft. Baylor’s VJ Edgecombe, however, could potentially face Flagg and the Blue Devils in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. A strong performance in the tournament may have him climb up draft boards.

Player School/Team Odds to go No. 1
Cooper Flagg Duke -1600
Dylan Harper Rutgers +750
Ace Bailey Rutgers +2500
VJ Edgecombe Baylor +5000
