
A NASCAR Cup Series team and Xfinity Series team respectively were penalized on Tuesday for loose wheel violations over the weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
The No. 66 MBM Motorsports Ford Mustang driven by Josh Bilicki lost a right rear wheel in Turn 4 under caution on Lap 49 during the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday night. As a result, rear tire changer Brehanna Daniels and jackman Ethan Hindman have been suspended for the next two Cup Series races at Nashville Superspeedway and Michigan International Speedway.
This was a violation of Section 10.5.2.6.D in the NASCAR Rule Book regarding safety penalties.
The No. 10 Kaulig Racing Chevrolet driven by Daniel Dye also lost a right rear under caution but on the backstretch, leading to a spin on Lap 200. As a result, rear tire changer Jerick Newsome and jackman Richie Williams have been for the next two Xfinity Series races at Nashville and then Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City.
This was a violation of Section 10.5.2.5.E in the Xfinity Rule Book.
Kevin Lucas Jr., a younger journeyman crew member, has been reinstated following his ‘behavioral’ suspension issued back in April.
