The NASCAR Cup Series hits August with four races to go until the playoffs begin. The Cup Series heads to Newton, Iowa to run the 2025 Iowa Corn 350 on Sunday, August 3.
This will be the second time that NASCAR has run this race. The inaugural Iowa Corn 350 last year marked the first time the Iowa Speedway hosted a Cup Series race and the first time a Cup Series race was held in the state of Iowa. Ryan Blaney is the defending champion, completing the 350 laps with a total time of 2:58:37.
The Cup Series heads to Iowa coming off the 2025 Brickyard 400. Bubba Wallace was able to get off his 100-race skid and took the checkered flag for his first Cup Series win since 2022.
Qualifying was held the day before the race. The Iowa Motor Speedway will utilize two-lap qualifying. The drivers will be separated into two groups. Each driver will complete two laps, with their fastest being used for the standings. Once the drivers in Group A qualify, there will be a two-minute break, and then the drivers in Group 2 will qualify. When that is completed, the starting lineup will be determined.
