The Shriners Children’s 500 returns to Arizona this spring, with Christopher Bell defending his championship. The event has been held at the Phoenix Raceway in Avondale, AZ every year since 2005.
An early staple of the NASCAR Cup calendar, the Shriners Children’s 500 has enjoyed massive star power over the years. Kevin Harwick and Jeff Gordon have won a combined seven Shriners.

Other more recent winners include Kyle Busch (2019), Joey Logano (2020), Martin Truex Jr. (2021), Chase Briscoe (2022), William Byron (2023) and Bell last year.
If Bell wins this year’s event, he will join Harvick as the only driver to win consecutive Shriners (Harvick did it in 2014, ’15 and ’16, and also won in ’06 and ’18).

NASCAR Cup Series 2025 cities, dates
The NASCAR Cup Series started in February at Bowman Gray Stadium. The Duel at Daytona and Daytona 500 kicked things into high gear from February 13-16.
Various races take place through the year, from the Goodyear 400 on April 6 to the Coca-Cola 600 in May 25. The NASCAR All-Star Race is on May 18.
The playoffs begin with the Round of 16 on August 31 and end with the NASCAR Cup Series Championship, taking place from November 1 to 2.
