For the first time since 1971, the NASCAR Cup Series returns to Bowman Gray Stadium. This year, the Cook Out Clash heads to North Carolina, which starts a busy Cup Series schedule.
The Cup Series is the top racing format for NASCAR. Various states hold events for the Cup Series. The Cook Out Clash features 23 drivers in a 200-lap feature event on February 2.
Daytona International Speedway initially held the Cook Out Clash, followed by the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Now, Bowman Gray Stadium hosts the event that has been won by Dale Earnhardt (Sr. and Jr.), Darrell Waltrip, Neil Bonnett, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Joey Logano, and Kyle Busch.

NASCAR Cup Series 2025 cities, dates
The NASCAR Cup Series starts in February at Bowman Gray Stadium. The Duel at Daytona and Daytona 500 kick things into high gear from February 13-16.
From there, various races take place through the year, from the Goodyear 400 on April 6 to the Coca-Cola 600 in May 25. The NASCAR All-Star Race is on May 18.
The playoffs begin with the Round of 16 on August 31 and end with the NASCAR Cup Series Championship, taking place from November 1 to 2.
