Manchester City’s new era under Pep Guardiola is beginning to take shape as their new signings start to make a significant impact at the FIFA Club World Cup.
The Citizens are pushing to launch a Premier League title in the upcoming campaign and Guardiola has invested in some talented players to bolster key positions across his squad.
While City are making strides to bring in more fresh faces, Guardiola also needs to sell players, and multiple names have been linked with an exit from Manchester, before the start of 2025/26.
Attacking midfielder James McAtee is one of the players frustrated with his game time and reportedly seeking a new challenge.
The young midfielder captained the England U21s to a UEFA European Championship title defence in Slovakia as Lee Carsley’s side edged out Germany in the final.
As per reports via Mail Online journalist Jack Guaghan, McAtee is attracted interest from five Bundesliga clubs following his exploits this summer.

Bayer Leverkusen were the first Bundesliga club to register an interest in McAtee, but rivals Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Eintracht Frankfurt and VfB Stuttgart have now joined the race for City youngster.
Why is James McAtee leaving Man City?
McAtee netted seven goals in 27 matches for the Citizens last season. But his dreams of securing more game time in the 2025/26 campaign were crushed when Guardiola signed Rayan Cherki and Oscar Bobb returned from injury.
McAtee’s decision not to travel with City to the United States for the Club World Cup was also vindicated as he guided England to glory.
Since the arrival of Erik ten Hag, Leverkusen have stepped up their interest in the 22-year-old midfielder.
Meanwhile, Dortmund have also identified him as a replacement for Jamie Gittens, who is on the verge of joining Chelsea.
Similarly, VfB Stuttgart are already planning for a replacement of Nick Woltemade, who is keen to join Bayern Munich this summer.
With just a year left on his current City contract, it would reportedly take a transfer fee above £25m [$34m] to lure him away from the Etihad Stadium.
