How about those Cincinnati Reds? Terry Francona’s bunch has turned into the hottest team in the National League. The Reds completed a three game sweep at home over the Tampa Bay Rays and have now won four straight games.
Cincinnati is now 56-50, a high water mark for the season, and sit just a single game back of the San Diego Padres for the final National League wildcard spot.
The Reds also have won 10 out of their last 14 games, as MLB posted following the win.

Cincinnati has been doing it in many ways. But, recently it has been the pitching. Cincinnati has allowed just five runs over the last four games. The Reds are 14th in team hitting, with a .248 batting average, while they are allowing just 7.8 hits per game, which is 7th in the league.

On Sunday, Cincinnati needs two runs in the bottom of the first to win the game. The lone run for Tampa Bay came in the 8th inning from a Taylor Walls solo home run.
The Reds will look to stay hot, as they host the Los Angeles Dodgers for three game starting on Monday.
