It was another positive day in the MLB Player props market to kick off a brand new week. Our picks went 2-1 yesterday, and we’re back with three more wagers for Tuesday’s slate.
Our first bet comes from Houston, where Jose Altuve is heating up. The 35-year-old has a favorable matchup against the dreadful Athletics and a date with a pitcher he’s had plenty of success against in the past.
The FanDuel promo code linked on this page unlocks a $200 bonus for new users who win their first bet of at least $5 of MLB betting.
MLB Player Prop Picks for May 27
Jose Altuve Over 1.5 Hits, Runs, and RBI (-140 at Bet365)
Altuve enters play riding a four-game hitting streak and has four multi-hit efforts in his last six contests overall. He’s fresh off a 2 hit, 2 run performance versus the Mariners, and scored five times against them during Houston’s most recent four-game series.
Altuve is slashing .417/.444/.667 over the last week, and has posted significantly better splits at home, where he’ll hit today. He and the Astros will face JP Sears, who’s struggled to keep the ball in the yard recently. Sears has coughed up 14 hits, 10 runs, and 5 homers in his last 9 innings alone.
Houston’s leftfield is 6-for-19 all-time versus Sears, with 3 extra-base hits and 2 RBI. He’s a good bet to exceed 1.5 hits, runs, and RBI in this matchup, just like he has in each of his last four outings.
Mike Burrows Under 14.5 Outs (+105 at Bet365)
For our second wager, we’re going plus money hunting at the expense of Pittsburgh starter MikeBurrows. The 25-year-old will be making only his second career start, after battling control issues in his season debut.
Burrows gave up 4 hits and 4 runs, including 2 homers against the Brewers last week. He also walked 2 batters, giving him just as many walks (5) as strikeouts (5) over his short MLB career. Burrows has allowed 3 home runs in only 8 innings of work, and life won’t get any easier tonight against the heavy-hitting Diamondbacks.
Arizona enters play as a top-five scoring lineup. They also rank top-five in home runs, slugging, and OPS, and top-3 in extra-base hits. The D-Backs blanked the Pirates 5-0 in the series opener last night, and are now averaging 6 runs per outing over their last seven home games.
Dansby Swanson Over 1.5 Hits, Runs, and RBI (+100 at Bet365)
No player props card is complete without a bet against the woeful Rockies. They’ll send GermanMarquez and his 7.66 ERA to the mound tonight, which is great news for Dansby Swanson.
The Cubs shortstop is 4-for-7 all-time against Marquze with a home run and 6 RBI. He enters play slashing .280/.351/.460 over the last 15 days, with 14 hits, 9 runs, 3 homers, and 8 RBI. Swanson is +100 to exceed 1.5 hits, runs, and RBI versus Marquez and the Rockies, a price we can’t bet fast enough.
