MLB Player Props: Picks and Best Bets for Tuesday, April 22 Games

Tuesday brings another 15-game MLB slate to sweat, which means a bevy of player prop wagers to choose from. We’ve been riding the white-hot form of Corbin Carroll recently, and that isn’t going to change today, given a favorable matchup against the Rays Zack Littell.

MLB Player Props Picks for April 22

Corbin Carroll Over 2.5 Hits, Runs, and RBI (+120 at DraftKings)

Carroll enters play slashing .352/.397/.648 over the last 15 days. He’s slugged 4 home runs, with 13 RBI during that stretch, while scoring 12 runs. He’s cleared over 2.5 hits, runs, and RBI in six of eight games, and we’re getting +120 odds that he can do it again tonight.

The 24-year-old has been especially strong against right-handed pitching, like Tampa’s Littell.

Carroll is hitting .358 versus righties this season, with 7 homers. All 15 of his extra-base hits have come against right-handers, as have all 19 of his RBI.

Littell, meanwhile, is off to a 0-4 start. He’s coughed up 23 hits and 14 runs over 23 innings, surrendering 6 dingers along the way. Enemy batters are slashing .261/.305/.534 against him, with a hard hit rate of 47%.

Patrick Corbin Under 3.5 Strikeouts (+120 at DraftKings)

From one plus-money bet involving a Corbin to another. If Texas’s Patrick Corbin is pitching, you can safely assume we’re going to be looking to fade him. He’s been one of our favorite punching bags for years, and now we’re getting favorable odds on under 3.5 strikeouts, all because he had one good outing.

Corbin held the light-hitting Angels to 5 hits and 1 run over 5.1 innings in his last start, with 6K’s. That followed a disastrous season debut, when he was roughed up by the Cubs. The underlying metrics suggest his most recent out was an outlier, especially in the strikeout department.

Corbin is still not generating enough swings and misses. His swinging strike rate is down to 8.8%, which is the lowest it’s been since his rookie campaign. Corbin’s velocity has been declining for five straight years, and so far in 2025, he’s barely hitting 90 mph with his fastball.

That means he’s forced to rely on his offspeed arsenal, which hasn’t been elite in a while.

Enemy batters are making hard contact at a 40% rate off him this season, slashing 278/.333/.389 in the process.

As for the matchup, few teams strike out less frequently than tonight’s opponent, the A’s. The Athletics lineup enters play with only 157 strikeouts, the third fewest in the league. Corbin doesn’t have a ton of history against the A’s batters, but those he has faced have hit him hard.

They’re slashing .280/.357/.480 versus Corbin, with just a 20% K rate.
