We split our MLB player props card yesterday to run our weekly total to 7-7. Our Jose Ramirez over 2.5 hits, runs, and RBI bet was a +120 winner, which made our day slightly profitable.
The hits, runs, and RBI market is a favorite of ours to target, and it’s where we’re going first on Saturday. Colorado’s German Marquez and his 8.27 ERA take the ball in Arizona, which means we can’t wait to wager on Diamondbacks overs.

MLB Player Prop Picks for May 17
Corbin Carroll Over 2.5 Hits, Runs, and RBI (-125 at DraftKings)
Arizona is baseball’s fifth-highest scoring team and boasts MLB’s third-best OPS. Corbin Carroll is the leader of the bunch and is in prime position to continue his torrid start to 2025.
Carroll has already smacked 14 home runs and driven in 31 runs. That puts him in the top 15 in both categories, and he enters play ranked seventh in OPS. Carroll is making hard contact at a 55.6% rate, one of the highest marks in baseball. His .324 ISO is .74 points better than his previous high in any season, and he’s absolutely crushed right-handers like Marquez all year long.
Carroll is slashing .296/.371/.696 versus righties this season, and has cleared 2.5 hits, runs, and RBI in four consecutive games. Marquez, meanwhile, has coughed up 41 hits and 31 runs over his last five starts alone, and is allowing a .503 slugging percentage and .894 OPS to enemy batters in 2025.
The Rockies hurler is yielding a 43.7% hard hit rate, while his strikeout rate is a career-low 11.7%. Fire up your D-Backs today.
Zack Wheeler Over 7.5 Strikeouts (-110 at Bet365)
For our next wager, we’re going to pick on the lowly Pirates with one of baseball’s strikeout kings. Zack Wheeler takes the ball for Philly this evening against the Pirates, looking to exceed 7.5 K’s for the fifth time in his last six starts.
The matchup is pristine, and one that he should have no trouble taking advantage of. Pittsburgh strikes out at the NL’s third-highest rate, and boasts four regulars with a K rate of 25% or higher.
Wheeler has dominated the Pirates in the past, whiffing the current hitters in their lineup at a 36% clip over 77 at-bats. The 34-year-old has held Pittsburgh’s lineup to a .195/.271/.351 slashline, allowing only 6 extra-base hits.
Wheeler has posted a career-best 11.48 K/9 rate so far this season, and there are no signs that he’s going to regress anytime soon. His fastball velocity is up over last year, and he’s generating more swings and misses than in any other season of his MLB tenure.
