MLB Player Props: Picks and Best Bets for Friday, June 6 Games

After a slow start to the week in the MLB player props market, we swept the board on Thursday to run our record to 6-3. That puts us on track for another winning week as we slide into the weekend, and there’s no shortage of player prop options to choose from on Friday’s 15-game slate.

The day’s most appealing game comes from Colorado, as the Rockies return home to Coors Field to face the Mets. These two teams met just last week in New York, with the Mets pulling off the three-game sweep. They roughed up Antonio Senzatela in an 8-2 victory, and have the privilege of facing the Rockies right-hander again tonight.

MLB Player Prop Picks for June 6

MLB Player Prop Pick #1: Antonio Senzatela Over 3.5 Earned Runs (-120 at Bet365)

Senzatela continued his horrendous 2025 form last week by coughing up 8 hits, 7 runs, and 2 homers to New York. He took his 10th loss in the process, and has now surrendered 4+ runs in seven straight starts, and in nine of his last 10 outings overall.

Like most teams, the Mets have a long track record of success against Senzatela. They’re slashing .364/.398/.682 against him over 88 at-bats, pounding 32 hits, 8 home runs, and 11 extra-base hits. Juan Soto has homered off him twice in 4 at-bats, while Brandon Nimmo has taken him deep three times in 11 at-bats.

Senzatela is one of our favorite pitchers to bet against for good reason. He’s allowing hard contact at a 49% rate, and an opponent slash line of .377/.414/.581 through 12 starts. All five of his pitches are considered negative options, while he’s forcing a swing and miss rate of less than 7%.

Until online sportsbooks significantly adjust his props, and those of the players facing him, we’re going to continue to target him whenever we can. Tonight it’s over 3.5 earned runs, but also consider over 2.5 hits, runs, and RBI for Soto and Nimmo.

MLB Player Prop Pick #2: Brent Rooker Over 1.5 Hits, Runs, and RBI (-150 at Bet365)

Believe it or not, the highest total on Friday’s slate is not the Mets-Rockies contest. That honor belongs to the Orioles and Athletics, and we’re targeting the A’s Brent Rooker as our next selection.

We’re betting over 1.5 hits, runs, and RBI for Rooker, a mark he’s cleared in eight of nine games overall. Rooker is fresh off a 3-hit, 3-run, 3 RBI outing against the Twins, giving him 7 hits so far in 19 June at-bats.

The 30-year-old is slashing .407/.484/.667 over the last 15 days, with 22 hits, 11 runs, 3 homers, and 13 RBI. He’s making hard contact at a 46% rate, while posting an ISO north of .200 for the third consecutive season.

Rooker and the A’s will face Baltimore right-hander Dean Kramer tonight, a pitcher who’s battled an up-and-down campaign so far. Kremer has posted quality starts in two straight outings, after being lit up in three of his previous five appearances. Rooker is 1-for-2 against Kremer lifetime, with a home run and 3 RBI.

MLB Player Prop Pick #3: Tarik Skubal Under 1.5 Earned Runs (-1.5 at DraftKings)

Raise your hand if you can remember the last time Tarik Skubal gave up a run. For those of you not keeping track, Skubal is fresh off back-to-back shutouts and has held the opposition to one run or less in seven of his past 10 starts.

Skubal leads the Majors in WHIP and ranks top-9 in ERA and strikeouts. His K/9 rate is at a career-best 11.8 this season, while enemy batters are making hard contact at just a 27% clip.

The reigning AL Cy Young Award winner will face the Cubs tonight, which features a lineup he’s owned in his career. Skubal has held the current Chicago batters to a .125/.176/.156 slash line, with a 31% strikeout rate.
