Why are MLB games on Apple TV+?
Under the agreement between MLB and Apple, Apple TV+ has exclusive streaming rights to two games every Friday across a 25-week span. This is the fourth consecutive year that MLB games will air on Apple TV+ as a part of ‘Friday Night Baseball.’
What’s new to MLB on Apple TV+ in 2025?
Apple TV+ has continuity within its broadcast teams, with the same crews returning for the third straight year.
Wayne Randazzo (play-by-play), Dontrelle Willis (analyst), and Heidi Watney (reporter) will call one of the games, with Alex Faust (play-by-play), Ryan Spilborghs (analyst), and Tricia Whitaker (reporter) in the booth for the other game.
The pregame/postgame crew also remains unchanged, featuring Lauren Gardner (host), Russell Dorsey (analyst), and Xavier Scruggs (analyst).
Should fans want an alternative to the Apple TV+ announcers, they can listen to the participating teams’ radio feeds during the broadcast.
