Micah Parsons press conference live updates: Packers introduce star EDGE after trade

The Green Bay Packers pulled off two of the biggest deals in the history of their storied franchise on Thursday evening.

First, they traded two first-round picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark to Dallas for star edge rusher Micah Parsons. If that return felt a little light for the EDGE, it was because of the Packers’ second move.

After trading for Parsons, Green Bay signed him to a four-year, $188 million extension. The edge rusher will play the 2025 season under the fifth-year option of his previous contract, with the extension set to begin in 2026 as he enters his prime years.

The Packers are scheduled to hold an introductory press conference with Parsons on Friday. The event was originally set for midday but has since been pushed back to early evening.
