Exactly one week ahead of the regular season, the Cowboys and Packers pulled off a blockbuster trade, sending star edge rusher Micah Parsons to Green Bay.
The deal ends Parsons’ contract standoff with Dallas, as the edge rusher sets several NFL records with his new contract. It also further alters the power structure in the NFC, as the Packers load up to try and de-throne the Eagles in the conference.
Green Bay is always a TV draw as one of the NFL’s premier franchises, but adding Parsons makes them one of the most interesting teams in the league this year. The Packers already had several powerhouse matchups on their schedule, and those games only got more fascinating with this deal.

Do the Packers play the Cowboys in 2025?
The Packers are scheduled to play the Cowboys in 2025, adding another spicy matchup to the NFL schedule. Green Bay will visit Dallas in Week 4, a game that will be in primetime on NBC’s “Sunday Night Football.”
Before the trade, this was set to be the first time the Packers and Cowboys played since Green Bay upset Dallas in the playoffs two seasons ago. Now, the matchup has extra juice with Parsons joining the Packers before the season begins.

Even before the Parsons trade, the Packers had a very intriguing schedule as one of the most popular teams that is also a title contender. Most notably, Green Bay is scheduled to visit the Cowboys in Dallas this year, a game which will take place on “Sunday Night Football” in Week 4.
