No shortstop has ever done what the New York Mets’ superstar has now done.
As of Saturday, Lindor is in the 20 home run, 20 steal club for the season. It’s the fifth time he’s been in that group.

This season, he’s batting .255 with 24 home runs and 20 steals. He’s got a .775 OPS.
It’s a bit below his career average, but he’s still special, and if the Mets want to break out of their funk, they’ll need Lindor to get rolling.
In Lindor’s career, he’s a .273 hitter with 272 home runs and 205 steals.

He is hot now. In his last 15 games, he’s hitting .305. In his last seven, he’s at .379 with three homers and three steals.
The Mets need that to continue, because they need to turn things around here.
Lindor is a leader, and he’s got to lead the turnaround.
