The 6-foot-4 guard, a starter on the Tigers’ Final Four team last season, averaged 11.3 points on .406/.378/.909 shooting splits, 3.7 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.0 steals per bout.
ESPN had ranked Kelly as the No. 80 draft prospect among the 2025 class.
Now 22, Kelly started off his collegiate career in the ACC, with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. He transferred to Auburn as senior, and was a key component of the club’s 32-6 season finish.
NBA clubs can field up to three two-way signings at any given time. As a two-way player, Kelly will be toggled between the Mavericks and their Frisco-based G League affiliate, the Texas Legends, throughout the season. If Dallas wants Kelly to suit up for actual minutes with the team in the playoffs, he’ll need to be promoted to the club’s 15-man standard roster.
Dallas also signed another undrafted free agent, fifth year senior Ole Miss center Moussa Cissa, to an Exhibit 10 training camp deal, per Draft Express’ John Chepkevich. Exhibit 10 signings can be upgraded to two-way contracts. If Cissa is waived and latches on with the Texas Legends for at least 60 days, he’ll be eligible for a bonus worth as much as $85,000.
