Masters leaderboard 2025: Live golf scores, results from Thursday’s Round 1

The first major golf tournament of the year has arrived. Some of the world’s best golfers have gathered in Augusta — and now, the 2025 Masters Tournament is set to begin.

On Thursday, past winners and plenty still hungry for their first title will tee off from Augusta National Golf Club, where there will be plenty of storylines worth monitoring. Last year’s champion, Scottie Scheffler, will seek to defend his title after a dominant effort in the 2024 tournament, and he’ll be favored to do so.

Plenty of big names will be coming for Scheffler’s throne, though. While Tiger Woods won’t be competing due to his recent ruptured Achilles, Rory McIlroy is still out to complete his career Grand Slam, which would make him the sixth golfer to do so if he wins the 2025 Masters. McIlroy comes into Augusta hot, hoping his 11th go-around in the major will result in his first victory.

Elsewhere in the field of 95 golfers, LIV stars Jon Rahm, the 2023 Masters victor, and Bryson DeChambeau will be making a run at the title. Among other top challengers this year are Collin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele, Ludvig Aberg, and Justin Thomas.

Soon, one golfer will accept a green jacket and join golf royalty on the list of Masters winners. Will it be Scheffler for the second consecutive year or a new victor?

The Sporting News is following live scores from each round of the 2025 Masters with our leaderboard, along with updated tee times and TV coverage. Follow along with the tournament results below.
