A tradition unlike any other begins today.
The 89th Masters tees off from Augusta National on Thursday with more than 90 golfers competing to win a coveted green jacket, and once again, there are plenty of intriguing storylines heading into the tournament.
World No. 1 player Scottie Scheffler will try to repeat as champion and win his third green jacket overall. Rory McIlroy is looking to finally break his 11-year major drought and win the tournament that has eluded him his entire career. Not to mention, plenty of other PGA Tour and LIV players are trying to win golf’s most prestigious tournament for the first time.
While rain on Monday forced practice rounds to be suspended and patrons to leave the holy grail of golf courses, the weekend looks to be clear of any inclement weather. The action on the course will only intensify as the tournament progresses.
