Mariners’ Etsy witch-inspired winning streak gives them huge AL West division standings news

The Seattle Mariners still haven’t lost since a witch paid by a fan on Etsy cast a spell to help the M’s keep winning.

It either worked or is an incredible coincidence.

The Mariners won again Sunday and are on a nine-game winning streak.

Thanks to that, and a thanks to Astros lefty Framber Valdez getting shelled on Sunday, Seattle is in first place in the American League West Division.

The Mariners are 82-68. The Astros are 81-69.

Both teams have 12 games left to play, so there’s still time for things to flip.

But for now, the Mariners will take it, especially if they’ve got the supernatural on their side.

It’s the first time the Mariners have been in first place in the division since June 1.

They’ve also continued to solidify themselves in the wild card standings. At the moment, of course, they don’t show up in that list because they lead the division. But even with a slight fall off, Seattle is probably safe.

They just need to keep the momentum going a bit longer to head into the playoffs in great shape.

And with the pitching the Mariners have, they can be a genuine threat in the postseason.

It’s certainly quite the fun time for baseball fans in the Pacific Northwest.
