Marcus Davenport injury update: Latest news on Lions defender’s status in Week 2 game

The Detroit Lions will be keeping an eye on veteran edge rusher Marcus Davenport for the rest of the Week 2 game against the Chicago Bears after the veteran edge rusher exited with an injury.

Davenport initially suffered an ankle injury in the first half but was able to return to the game. Then, in the third quarter, Davenport was shaken up once again with what looked like a different injury.

This is an ominous sign for a player who has struggled with injuries throughout his career, including last season when he appeared in just four games before suffering a season-ending torn biceps injury.

Prior to his second exit, Davenport had one tackle and two sacks. Here’s the latest update on Davenport’s status.
