The Toronto Blue Jays are in the World Series, and that means some schedule changes.
The Toronto Raptors, Toronto Maple Leafs and even Buffalo Sabres are making time changes to upcoming games to avoid too much overlap with the Blue Jays.
That includes the Raptors’ home opener and multiple NHL games getting altered to make everything line up just right.

Raptors’ schedule changes for Blue Jays
The Raptors have the most notable schedule change.
Friday is their home opener, against the Milwaukee Bucks. That game has been moved up an hour, to tip off at 6:30 p.m. ET instead of 7:30. The Blue Jays play at 8 p.m. ET at home in Game 1 of the World Series.
The Raptors have also moved their Oct. 29 game with the Houston Rockets to a 6:30 p.m. ET start. That overlaps with Game 5 of the World Series, which would be in Los Angeles.
Maple Leafs’ schedule changes for Blue Jays
The Maple Leafs have moved the start times of two home games.
They will take on the Sabres on Saturday (World Series Game 2) with a new start time of 5 p.m. ET. Then they moved the Calgary Flames matchup on Oct. 28 (World Series Game 4) to 6 p.m. ET.
Sabres’ schedule changes for Blue Jays
In addition to the Sabres’ time change in Toronto on Saturday, they’ve also moved their Friday game up.
Buffalo will begin Friday at home at 7 p.m. ET instead of 7:30, a half hour move on the night that Game 1 of the World Series gets underway at 8 p.m.
