San Diego Padres star third baseman Manny Machado reminded us that baseball is back and just how frustrating hitting that white ball can be.
Sometimes it’s easiest to take those frustrations out on the bat. Bo Jackson had a knack sending a message to his bats by snapping them over his knee in frustration. Who could forget the time he did it over his own head?
Machado, looking to channel his inner Bo, gave it a shot during Thursday’s Opening Day game against the San Francisco Giants after hitting a flair to the infield with a runner in scoring position.
