Manchester City slashes valuation of England star as multiple Premier League clubs circle

Jack Grealish’s time at Manchester City appears to be nearing its end. The English player, who was bought by City for £100 million [$135m] from Aston Villa in 2021 for a then British-record fee, could now be available for a cut price of £40 million [$54m] in a potential £60 million [$81m] loss for the club, according to The Sun.

The winger, who was vital in City’s historic Treble-winning season two years ago, has slipped far down Pep Guardiola’s pecking order.

He made just seven Premier League starts last season and was left completely out of the squad for City’s final league game, where they defeated Fulham 2-0.

The shift became public when Grealish was benched in the FA Cup final loss to Crystal Palace. Instead of bringing him on, Guardiola gave 19-year-old Claudio Echeverri his debut.
