Manchester United face Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Sunday hoping to create some sort of consistency in their Premier League form.
The Red Devils battled to a 1-0 win at Fulham last week to move 13 points clear of the bottom three, allowing them to at least consider the prospect of a challenge for the European spots during the final 15 matchdays.
Yet Ruben Amorim’s team have not won consecutive league matches at any point in 2024/25, and having travelled back from Thursday’s UEFA Europa League match with FCSB in Bucharest, it is hard to predict what sort of performance they will produce.
Palace seemed to have turned a corner with a run of six games unbeaten across all competitions, but last week’s 2-1 home loss to Brentford underlined the fact they are still at some risk of being dragged back into the relegation mix.

Luke Shaw is close to a comeback and there is a chance he could be part of the matchday squad this weekend, although Amorim will certainly want to avoid rushing him back.
Mason Mount and Jonny Evans are still out with injury, while Marcus Rashford looks highly unlikely to be brought back into the squad even if he remains a United player by Sunday.
Having made a few changes for the game in Bucharest, Amorim will likely do so again in a bid to keep the team fresh.
