Manchester United are ready to make a major transfer move to solve their striker issues this summer.
The Red Devils are set to miss out on European qualification via the Premier League this season with the Red Devils potentially finishing in the EPL bottom half for the first time.
Ruben Amorim’s side have struggled for consistency since his November arrival at Old Trafford and a lack of goals has been a constant concern for United fans in 2025.

Bruno Fernandes is the club’s top scorer this season, with 12 goals across all competitions, as forward duo Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund continue to struggle.
Hojlund could be sold this summer with the 22-year-old without a goal in his last 15 starts and Zirkzee has only fared slightly better in front of goal in recent months.
Amorim will have a budget to work with in the summer, but the club hierarchy are looking to offload players before bringing in new faces, with a new striker his No.1 focus.
His former Sporting CP star Viktor Gyokeres is expected to be outside of United’s budget – with their UEFA Champions League qualification completely dependent on winning the Europa League – and PSG forward Randal Kolo Muani now looks set to opt against a move to Manchester.
Randal Kolo Muani’s PSG contract, transfer fee, stats
United were heavily linked with a January move for France international Kolo Muani after Luis Enrique signalled his openness to letting him leave the Parc des Princes.
However, Serie A giants Juventus were quicker off the mark, and Thiago Motta sealed a loan deal until the end of the campaign.
The arrival of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli has pushed the 25-year-old further down the PSG pecking order behind Ousmane Dembele and Goncalo Ramos.
Five goals in his first three appearances for Juventus was better than Motta could have hoped for after the former Eintracht Frankfurt forward only two goals in the first half of the season in Paris.
Juventus
There is no purchase clause in his current loan deal in Turin, with Juventus covering a portion of his wages, and his PSG contract runs until 2028.
However, as per reports from Italian outlet Calciomercato.com, PSG are not interested in bringing him back next season and Juventus have been offered the chance to complete another loan.
Juventus are willing to extend the agreement for the 2025/26 campaign, with the two clubs locked in talks over a sale clause next summer, but PSG could make around a 50% loss on their original €80m [$86m] outlay in 2023.
