Manchester United have enjoyed an eye-catching summer transfer window via an attacking overhaul with the arrivals of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko.
The Red Devils had a season to forget in 2024/25, finishing 15th in the final Premier League rankings, and Ruben Amorim has vowed to change the situation ahead of a crunch campaign.
Even after securing Cunha and Mbuemo, the Portuguese coach still felt he needed a prolific striker, with Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee struggling to score goals at a regular basis.
That led to a dramatic swoop for Sesko from RB Leipzig for a hefty £70m [$90m] transfer fee after an intense battle with Newcastle United, who were also interested in the forward.
The Slovenian’s move to Old Trafford could now trigger a knock-on effect – and as per reports via Ben Jacobs – United have told Hojlund he will have to leave to gain more minutes.
The Danish striker struggled for goals in the 2024/25 campaign but he still wants another opportunity at United to prove his mettle.

However, with the Red Devils pushing to sign Brighton & Hove Albion star midfielder Carlos Baleba, they need to free up more funds in the final weeks of the window.
Hojlund previously rejected a ‘Sesko-swap’ at RB Leipzig but the 22-year-old could now change his stance, with Zirkzeee just ahead in th pecking order.
Where could Rasmus Hojlund end up this summer?
Hojlund moved to United in 2023 for a whopping £72m ($96.8m) transfer fee after a solitary successful campaign at Atalanta.
Despite his promising debut campaign, the youngster did not live up to the lofty expectations of the United fans. He scored just four goals in the Premier League last season which forced Amorim into the transfer market.
The Red Devils are ready to cut their losses on the Dane with a £40m [$54m] valuation for him.
According to talkSPORT, AC Milan are keen on signing the young striker as Max Allegri aims to build a team to challenge Napoli and Inter Milan for the Scudetto.
Milan are reportedly ready to match United’s asking price for the Danish star, but via a loan-to-buy deal.
That agreement could benefit all three parties, with United able to break the deadlock on Baleba, and Hojlund would be handed an opportunity to rejuvenate his career back in Italy,
