Following their UEFA Conference League triumph and qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League, Chelsea are set for a huge transfer window, with a number of incomings and outgoings certain to take place at the club.
But in a surprise move, according to Football Transfers, Manchester United have expressed interest in completing a summer move for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson.
United manager Ruben Amorim is keen to bolster his first-team squad with the addition of a new centre forward during the upcoming summer transfer window, and Jackson has been identified as an alternative option to the likes of Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres.
The Red Devils were heavily linked with a move for Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap but have lost out to Chelsea in the race for the Englishman, which has forced them to turn their attention elsewhere.
More importantly, Delap’s move to Stamford Bridge has cast doubts about Jackson’s future at the club, especially since the Senegalese international had an underwhelming season, overshadowed by injury and disciplinary issues.
The report goes on to state that United are monitoring his situation at Chelsea and that Amorim’s side have made an approach for the Senegal international as they look to improve the attacking options at Old Trafford.

The only stumbling block that remains now is that Chelsea are reluctant to negotiate a sale as things stand.
Jackson’s current contract at Stamford Bridge isn’t due to expire until 2033, after signing a new deal last year, and he has been Chelsea’s first-choice centre forward since his arrival from Villarreal in 2023.
The 23-year-old has scored 30 goals in 78 appearances across all competitions for the Blues, including the second during their 4-1 win over Real Betis in the Europa Conference League final on Wednesday night.
