Manchester City’s strong summer transfer window continues as the club appears to have reached an agreement with Wolverhampton Wanderers to bring Rayan Ait-Nouri to the Etihad.
Ait-Nouri has been a top name on Man City’s transfer target list for a while now, with reports also suggesting that the club attempted but failed to acquire the defender’s signature in the January transfer window.
The 23-year-old’s efforts on the pitch for Wolves in the 2024-25 season made him an ideal transfer prospect. He has contributed to nine clean sheets while also netting five goals and providing seven assists in 41 matches across all competitions.
Earlier, Fabrizio Romano reported that Ait-Nouri has agreed on personal terms to join Pep Guardiola’s squad and now, the journalist has confirmed that the clubs have also shaken hands over the transfer.
What’s next for Rayan Ait-Nouri following reported Manchester City transfer?
After a season-long loan from his boyhood club Angers, Ait-Nouri joined Wolves on a permanent deal in 2021, and his contract there is valid till the summer of 2026.
Man City and Wolves have agreed on a total fee of €40 million for Ait-Nouri, according to Romano. The report also mentioned that the Frenchman is expected to undergo medical tests on Saturday.
