Manchester City are having an admirable run in the ongoing summer transfer window.
After reports of Tijjani Reijnders completing his medical, Man City are now said to have reached an agreement with Olympique Lyonnais to sign Rayan Cherki.
Cherki has attracted attention with his performances for Lyon in the 2024-25 season, registering 12 goals and 20 assists in 44 appearances across competitions.
Earlier, reports also suggested that Man City’s initial offer to sign Cherki fell through as it did not match Lyon’s expectations for their talented academy graduate.
Now, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, Man City and Lyon have agreed terms to bring Cherki to the Etihad this summer.
What are the terms of Rayan Cherki’s deal with Man City?
Man City’s reported deal with Lyon for Cherki is estimated to be worth €40 million, with the contract valid until the summer of 2030.

Man City have also solidified personal terms with Cherki and the medical assessment is expected to take place on Tuesday, as per Ornstein.
If Man City are able to wrap up the signing in time, Cherki can be included in their squad for the Club World Cup. Pep Guardiola’s side is set to face Wydad AC in their first match of the competition on June 18 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
