Tyler Shough is a confident fella.
The Louisville quarterback is considered a mid-tier QB prospect in this month’s NFL Draft, but that’s not how he sees himself.
In an interview with NFL Live, Shough compared himself to one NFL MVP and another Super Bowl champion.
The MVP? Josh Allen. The champ? Matthew Stafford.
“For me I grew up watching Stafford,” Shough said. “The stuff that he does with his arm angles. He’s a tough son of a gun. He’s playing through a lot of stuff, and he’s been around, and he’s playing really well into his late thirties. I’ve always really liked him.”

And here’s Shough on the Bills star Allen.
“I also like watching Josh Allen,” Shough said. “I kind of feel I have a little bit of him in me when it comes to being a physical force at the line of scrimmage and ripping the ball down the field. I would say those two guys come to mind of who I watch the most.”
Shough, who is already 25 years old, looks to be a day two or day three pick. If a team got someone even half of Allen or Stafford at that price, it’d be a huge bargain.
It remains to be seen whether Shough can be anything like those guys in the NFL, though. It’s certainly not what others are projecting for him.
