With the title race still in hand but their European adventure over, Liverpool will focus on finishing the season strong as they contest the final Merseyside derby of the campaign against Everton at Anfield on Wednesday.
The Reds remain in control at the top of the table, with a 12-point lead over Arsenal, but they have faltered in other competitions. They were stunned at home by PSG in the Champions League to bow out in the quarterfinals, before falling to Newcastle in the EFL Cup final shortly after.
The early exits have left a sour taste in the mouths of Liverpool fans who were wanting more than just the league, but instead will render the run-in of the season to more or less a three-month league title parade.

Everton have pulled themselves out of the relegation mix and have gone six straight unbeaten, although five of those are draws. That run was started by the emotional 2-2 result in mid-February against their local rivals in the final derby at Goodison Park.

Liverpool vs. Everton lineups, predicted starting 11, team news
Liverpool will be concerned by the fitness of goalkeeper Alisson, who was sent home from international duty early after suffering a concussion in Brazil’s win over Colombia. Ryan Gravenberch is expected to be available after pulling out of the Netherlands squad, reportedly just as a precaution. Joe Gomez is out until at least the end of April.
Conor Bradley may be on his way back soon from a muscle injury that brought his strong first senior season to a screeching halt, and he could have a new contract to mark his return. With Trent Alexander-Arnold also sidelined for a number of weeks while his potential exit for Real Madrid plays out, Jarell Quansah could continue at right-back if Bradley’s not quite ready.
Cody Gakpo is back from injury and should take over up front, seeing Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez back to the bench.
Liverpool predicted lineup (4-3-3, right to left): Kelleher (GK) — Quansah, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson — Gravenberch, Mac Allister — Salah, Szoboszlai, Diaz — Gakpo
Injured: Alisson (concussion, doubt), Gravenberch (muscle, doubt), Bradley (muscle, doubt), Alexander-Arnold (ankle), Gomez (hamstring)
Suspended: None

Everton are nearing a return to full fitness, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Dwight McNeil, and Ilman Ndiaye all close to being available again. McNeil has returned to training and should be available, while Calvert-Lewin may find it tough to unseat Beto at the central striker spot.
Jarrad Branthwaite will be out to prove the doubters wrong after controversially being left out of the England squad this past international break.
Vitalii Mykolenko suffered a thigh injury during the internationals and is a major doubt. Ashley Young, Seamus Coleman or Nathan Patterson may need to deputise at left-back.
Everton predicted lineup (4-2-3-1, right to left): Pickford (GK) — O’Brien, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Young — Gueye, Garner — Harrison, Doucoure, Alcaraz — Beto
Injured: Calvert-Lewin (thigh, doubt), McNeil, (knee, doubt), Ndiaye (knee), Mangala (knee), Mykolenko (thigh, doubt)
Suspended: None
