Liverpool transfer target makes decision on future

Liverpool aren’t afraid to spend big money, with Arne Slot already adding Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, and Milos Kerkez all coming in.

The Merseyside club is close to adding Hugo Ekitike, but they might also be losing out on Luis Diaz, who is said to want to leave Liverpool this summer.

Liverpool have been linked to Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton, and the Englishman has reportedly decided on his future.

What has Wharton decided on his future?

According to reports from The Sun, Wharton is open to staying at Crystal Palace for one more season before moving to Liverpool.

The Englishman has over four years left on his contract, which would point to Palace slapping a massive price tag on him.

Wharton wants to move to Liverpool, but the Merseyside club has already spent a massive amount of money this summer.

Palace are aiming to keep Wharton this season, as multiple other players are also in demand. Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi are wanted by multiple clubs, the latter having also been linked to Liverpool.

Tottenham are weighing up a move for Wharton, although the midfielder would prefer a move to Anfield.

If Wharton opts to stay with Palace for another season, Liverpool could be the favorites to sign the midfielder.

An additional year at Palace would knock Wharton’s price down and would give time for Liverpool to earn more funds for his transfer.
