Liverpool are in a shopping spree as they are wrapping up one deal after another in this summer transfer window. They were recently crowned Premier League champions, and the Reds are desperate to dominate the English topflight and improve at every opportunity available.
Therefore, they have already snapped up Bayer Leverkusen duo of Jeremie Frimpong and later they broke the bank for his teammate Florian Wirtz. The Reds managed to fend off interest from Manchester City and Bayern Munich and won the race for the German international.
However, now they have shifted their focus to left-back position where they would like to improve this summer. They have been strongly linked with Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez for some time now and they are close to wrapping up.
As per fresh reports from Fabrizio Romano, Kerkez is hellbent on moving to Anfield this summer. So much so that he has decided to not hear any other offers from other teams.
Romano, in his YouTube channel, shared that the deal is far from done between the two parties. However, he believes that Kerkez will eventually move to Merseyside but there’s a little problem which is proving to an obstacle in the deal.
However, Romano denied from sharing those details from his audience, but he feels that the deal is in good place and will eventually happen but both parties may need another set of meetings to resolve the issue.

What would Kerkez bring to Liverpool?
Kerkez is coming off a great season with Bournemouth under manager Andoni Iraola. He has been a menace for the Cherries with his overlapping runs from the left flank. The 21-year-old Hungarian is someone who could be a long-term solution for Liverpool at left-back.

His strengths are crossing and creating chances, and it is why Arne Slot wants him in his roster especially after losing someone as precious as Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid. Kerkez is also good at progressing the ball. He is someone who is forward thinking, aggressive and creative in the final third and is also decent in 1v1 duels while defending. He can be a proper threat on the left flank for Liverpool.
Kerkez played all of the 38 Premier League games and also started in all of them, mustering five assists and two goals in the process. He averaged 3.79 crosses, 2.79 progressive carries per 90 minutes last season which makes him one of the most creative full backs in the Premier League.
At 21, he is still a work in progress, but he has shown capabilities of becoming a fine modern full back who could serve Slot and Liverpool really well in the coming years. With Andrew Robertson already present in that position, he could also get a great mentor who has similar playing style to the Hungarian.
