Liverpool have been dominating in the Premier League this season and it looks like the Reds already have one hand on the trophy. Thus, this has now has allowed fans and analysts to shift focus towards the upcoming summer transfer window.
With a comfortable 13-point lead over Arsenal, Arne Slot’s side is cruising towards another league title, raising questions about how the squad will evolve in the coming months.
While Liverpool has been linked with several high-profile players, one name that will not be heading to Anfield is VfB Stuttgart’s Angelo Stiller.
The 23-year-old German midfielder had emerged as a potential target, but Stuttgart’s sporting director, Fabian Wohlgemuth, has shut down any speculation regarding his departure.

What Stuttgart’s sporting director said on Angelo Stiller’s transfer rumors
In a recent interview with German outlet Bild, Wohlgemuth dismissed rumors about Stiller leaving the club this summer. The Stuttgart chief was firm in his stance, stating:
“This is not an issue that is currently on our agenda. The player has committed himself to VfB with no ifs or buts, and we know exactly what we have in Angelo. And that is exactly how the issue is finally dealt with.”
Stiller, hailed as a ‘special’ passer by Total Football Analysis, has been one of the standout players in the Bundesliga over the past 18 months.
His performances have drawn comparisons to Toni Kroos, making him an attractive prospect for clubs seeking a midfield maestro.
However, with a contract running until 2028, Stuttgart remains confident that he will not be seeking an exit anytime soon.

Liverpool’s midfield plans
Liverpool had been eyeing reinforcements in midfield, with Joshua Kimmich also rumored to be on their radar.
Despite missing out on Stiller, the Reds will continue their search for a new central midfielder, particularly a strong defensive presence to complement the likes of Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister.
Slot’s first season in charge saw minimal squad changes, with Federico Chiesa being the only major signing. This summer, however, could be different as Liverpool looks to strengthen key areas to maintain their dominance.
While missing out on Stiller may be a setback, Liverpool remains in the market for top-quality midfield talent. With the summer window approaching, the club will have plenty of time to find the right fit.
