LIV Golf roars into the second half of its 2025 season with a pivotal showdown in Virginia, as the tour lands at the prestigious Robert Trent Jones Golf Club for the very first time.
The 8th event of the year tees off from June 6 to 8, promising three action-packed days of elite competition.
All eyes will be on current points leader Joaquin Niemann, with Bryson DeChambeau hot on his heels after steering Crushers GC to a dramatic win in South Korea.

This Virginia stop is the last tune-up before the much-anticipated U.S. Open, where several LIV stars will join the field at one of golf’s grandest stages.
Among them is DeChambeau, who will arrive in title-defending mode after his thrilling victory at the 2024 edition.
The field is stacked with big names from across the LIV roster, including Phil Mickelson, Jon Rahm, Charl Schwartzel, Bubba Watson, Sergio Garcia, Cameron Smith, Patrick Reed, and Dustin Johnson, all ready to battle it out over 54 holes in pursuit of glory.

LIV Golf Virginia purse
LIV Golf once again has a huge purse on the line – $25 million prize pool distributed among the players and teams. While the individual tournament has a total prize money of $20 million, the team prize purse is set at $5 million.
The winner of the individual tournament takes home $4 million, while second place wins $2.25 million. The top team will split $3 million.
Where is LIV Golf Virginia in 2025?
- Course: Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, Gainesville, Virginia (Par 72 – 7,425 yards)
- Location: Virginia, United States
- Competition: Three rounds/54 holes of stroke play
- Field: 54 players – 13 teams of four players each, and two wild cards
The championship layout, crafted by legendary course designer Robert Trent Jones Sr., officially debuted in April 1991. A towering figure in golf course architecture, Jones, who left his mark on over 450 designs across the globe, held this particular creation in the highest regard, often referring to it as his “masterpiece.”
This scenic venue has welcomed its fair share of marquee events, including the 2024 Solheim Cup and the first four U.S.-based editions of the Presidents Cup (1994, 1996, 2000, and 2005).
Set against the tranquil backdrop of Lake Manassas, the course delivers some of its most picturesque moments on the back nine. But the lake is more than just eye candy, it becomes a true test at the par-3 11th, where players must launch tee shots over the water to find safety.
The daunting 12th hole, measuring 515 yards, will play as a par 4 during tournament competition, though it typically serves as a par 5 for members. The closing stretch doesn’t ease up either. The 18th, at 476 yards, is a formidable par 4, with its green perched near the lake’s edge. Players who miss with their approach could find themselves staring down a watery grave.
Not every hole is a bruiser, though. The 323-yard 10th offers a short reprieve, but with a tricky two-tiered green, it’s far from a pushover.
