Lionel Messi registers magical stats for the first time since 2022

Lionel Messi continues to shine, making and breaking records, many of which are his own while contributing to Inter Miami’s success in Major League Soccer.

After breaking their winless streak on May 28, Inter Miami have bagged a stellar 5-1 victory against Columbus Crew at Chase Stadium on Saturday.

Messi provided an assist to the Herons’ first goal of the match, followed by netting the next two himself. The Argentine icon then set up the way for Inter Miami’s 5th goal, wrapping up the game with a four-goal contribution on his part, along with adding three points for his side in the league table.

With this win, Inter Miami now stand third in the MLS table with 29 points in 16 matches.

With his contributions on the pitch against Columbus Crew, Messi has now recreated one of his own records for the first time since 2022.

What is Lionel Messi’s new record at Inter Miami?

Messi has registered multiple goals and multiple assists in a single game for the 13th time in his club career and the first since October 2022. The star forward was playing for Paris Saint-Germain at that time.
