The Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James are currently dealing with high tensions, and rumor has it that he won’t be a part of the organization for more than a couple more seasons.
James has been the focal point of every organization he has been a part of, which may spark some nostalgia when choosing his next team.
CBS Sports’ Jasmyn Wimbish predicts a James and Miami Heat reunion could be in order once his time in Los Angeles is wrapped up.
“Perhaps James wants to end his career in the place where he learned how to become a champion in the first place,” Wimbish said Wednesday. “Financially, it would be a logistical nightmare for the Heat or any team to acquire LeBron via trade, but if he were bought out, well, that’s a different story.
James returning to the Heat may not carry as much sentimental value compared to if he reunited with the Cavaliers, but it would certainly be an entertaining one.”
When James was part of the Heat from 2010 to 2014, he became a two-time champion and formed one of the greatest trios of all time, consisting of Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and himself.

His run with the Lakers has spanned longer than with the Heat, but we know he isn’t unfamiliar with joining a team a second time.
Since he left the team about a decade ago, they have reached the Finals twice but come up short both times.
If things in Los Angeles continue to go over not so smoothly, it could be fun to hypothesize a possible LeBron reunion in the town he established himself in.
