While the day has been about celebrating Gilgeous-Alexander, the timeless ‘King’ broke yet another NBA record once the final voting was revealed.
Los Angeles Lakers star, LeBron James, 40, became the oldest player in NBA history to rank inside the top 10 in MVP voting.
The previous oldest top-10 finalist prior to this season was San Antonio Spurs legend, Tim Duncan, who finished 10th in 2014-2015 at 38-years-old.
In his 21st NBA season, James averaged 24.4 points per game while adding 8.2 assists, and 7.8 rebounds per contest, while leading the Lakers to the third seed in the Western Conference during the regular season.
