Barcelona’s 18-year-old forward Lamine Yamal has acquired the former residence of Gerard Piqué and Shakira in Esplugues de Llobregat, according to Metropoli.
The property, located in the exclusive Ciutat Diagonal neighborhood is one of the most secure and private areas near Barcelona and was once home to one of football’s most recognized couples.
The mansion was designed by Mireia Admetller in 2012 to meet the lifestyle needs of Pique and Shakira and it became the symbol of the pair’s decade long- relationship that merged sports and global entertainment.
As reported by El Pais, the house features modern architecture, open interiors and a private garden designed for comfort and seclusion.
According to some reports, Yamal plans to adapt the property to his professional routine with a personal gym, physiotherapy space and upgraded security systems which will ensure both privacy and high-performance living.

Yamal, who also shares a relationship with Argentine singer Nicki Nicole bought property reportedly valued around $16.3m and clearly shows Yamal’s rise as one of Europe’s brightest young players and his growing stature within Barcelona’s senior squad.
