Lamine Yamal leads Real Madrid rivals as La Liga’s No.1 goal creation machine

Lamine Yamal continues his incredible development as part of a potent attack alongside Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha with the former leading the La Liga Golden Boot race and the latter pushing for the 2025 Ballon d’Or.

Despite the eye-catching exploits of his more experienced forward colleagues, Lamine Yamal continues to keep pace, with the teenager leading a host of La Liga stat lists ahead of the campaign run-in.

Six La Liga goals – and 13 across all competitions – means last season’s tallies of five and seven have already ben smashed.

However, it is chance creation where Lamine Yamal has left his rivals trailing, including a host of Real Madrid superstars.

11 La Liga assists puts him top of that list, ahead of Raphinha on eight, at a rate of 0.5 per 90 minutes played – also as No.1 in that metric.

He is also the outright leader for goal-creating actions [24] and successful dribbles [101] across Europe’s top five domestic leagues.

Both of those figures show just how devastating Lamine Yamal has been to opposition defences in recent months and he is comfortably ahead of some huge names in both lists.

Real Madrid duo Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior are third and fifth on the dribble king list [65 & 64] with Nico Williams on 57. Mohamed Salah is the only player close to him across Europe for goal-creating actions with 23.

Lionel Messi still holds the La Liga/Barcelona record for the most assist in a season, with 20 in 2019/20, but Lamine Yamal will chase that record in the run-in with Messi and Luis Suarez the only Barcelona players to register 14+ league assists in one campaign.
