Lakers reporter reveals promising news for Knicks on LeBron James relationship with Los Angeles

If the Los Angeles Lakers eventually make LeBron James available, one of the teams expected to be interested is the New York Knicks. The Knicks, whether they want to add James because of off-the-court reasons or because he’s still one of the better players in the NBA, would be wise to show some sort of interest in him.

However, if the Knicks were to find a way to land someone like James, they’d ultimately need him to be available. It remains uncertain whether the Lakers would trade him.

According to a recent report from Jovan Buha of The Athletic, it appears that James and the Lakers’ relationship isn’t exactly going as planned.

“I mean, I want to be careful with what I say about Bron’s relationship with the front office or the organization, but I don’t think it’s in the best place right now, to be completely honest,” Buha said.

This is excellent news for the Knicks and somewhat concerning news for the Lakers.

However, until James comes out and says he wants to be moved, which he’d likely do given the stage of his career and his desire not to hide these things, New York will have to continue running with its current roster.

If James says that he wants to be traded, and the Knicks have interest, the expectation is that other teams around the league would also be interested.

Given that the Knicks play in arguably the greatest city in the world, along with other factors, James could be interested in coming to New York.
