The Los Angeles Lakers should not go through this offseason without making any moves after a first-round exit last season.
Acquiring Luka Dončić was certainly a step in the right direction, but there is plenty more to do to make this a championship-caliber roster.
Luckily, Lakeshow Clutchpoints proposed an idea where the Lakers land 7-foot-1 skilled shot blocking athletic center and move on from a star guard.
“The Los Angeles Lakers are entering a pivotal offseason, and with cap flexibility off the table, trades are their only real shot at improvement,” the Instagram account stated Monday. “One name making waves on the rumor mill? Austin Reaves, once seen as part of LA’s core, might be the key to unlocking a major roster shakeup.
A proposed deal with the Dallas Mavericks could flip the script. LA would ship out Reaves and Shake Milton in exchange for Dereck Lively II and P.J. Washington, two versatile frontcourt pieces who could immediately plug key holes in the Lakers’ roster.”

Back in Dallas, the Lively and Dončić duo showed flashes, with Lively acting as Luka’s primary lob threat.
He was named to the All-Rookie Second Team, even while dealing with injuries.
With the recent news of Daniel Gafford expecting to sign a long-term contract with the Mavericks, Lively could soon be sent to California to join forces with his old teammate.
