Lakers’ LeBron James shocks fans everywhere with recent retirement update

LeBron James has been the face of the NBA since he joined the league in 2003.

He is now 40 years old, and rumors about his retirement and when he will retire have been circulating for the better part of a decade.

James has shown no signs of slowing down and recently revealed some shocking details about his plan to retire on Speedy Morman’s podcast, 360 with Speedy.

Mormon prompted James, by recognizing he is entering his 23rd year, he is starting to play gold, he is releasing the 23rd version of his signature shoe, and that he is on the Forever King tour.

To which James responded with this.

“Reitrement is coming, it is coming, it’s just not here just yet,” James said Thursday.

James then followed up by stating that not everything is a hint, backing himself up with the fact that golf is just a hobby he picked up, and that he is not hinting at anything.

There are a handful of players who managed to play in the league when they were 40 or above, but no player continued their dominance like James has.

Although he did just average 24.4 points per game, the lowest since his rookie season, he was still sixth in MVP voting and made the All-Star team for the 22nd consecutive year.

Whether or not James will reveal when his last year will be is something only he knows, but until then, he will continue to break records and solidify himself as one of the greats.
